Parenting Support
Navigating parenthood can be both hugely rewarding and very challenging! This can particularly be the case when parents themselves have had their own difficult or traumatic experiences, or when their children are facing emotional or behavioural challenges.
Drawing on my knowledge of child development, I offer trauma- and attachment-informed psychological support to parents and caregivers, either individually or as co-parents, to help them to understand their children’s behaviours and needs. An important focus of my work is also around supporting parents and carers to look after their their own needs, as I am a firm believer that “you can’t pour from an empty cup”.
I also have foundation-level training in systemic therapy (AFT accredited) and am currently working toward an intermediate-level qualification. This means I can offer psychologically-informed support to couples and families who are looking to improve how they relate to one another, understand recurring patterns, or work through difficulties together.
